A Movie You Might Have Missed #106 — The Great Battle

FIGHT TO THE DEATH.

Kingdom of Goguryeo, ancient Korea, 645. The ruthless Emperor Taizong of Tang invades the country and leads his armies towards the capital, achieving one victory after another, but on his way is the stronghold of Ansi, protected by General Yang Man-chu, who will do everything possible to stop the invasion, even if his troops are outnumbered by thousands of enemies.

AWESOME. 

After watching enough Indian and Korean movies eventually you realize how much important history we never even heard of. Such as the Battle of Ansi Fortress in the 600s - an 88 day seige of a Korean fortress by the Chinese Tang emperor. Will the noble defenders hold out agaonst the thousands and thousands of Chinese invaders? 

This was a fairly accurate depiction as it turns out once we researched it. It made for great movie viewing.
