After Christmas

After Christmas” by Fritz von Uhde

Of course, it isn't really "after Christmas" until the feast of the Baptism of the Lord. But Epiphany is when we take our tree down.

  1. Wouldn't you burn wood until it's all dried out? But I never had a fireplace, so I wouldn't know.

  2. I honestly don't know the German customs from the late 1800s so ... we will just have to ponder that question with no answer. :-)
