    This is my favorite Picasso--and I was surprised when I first learned it was one of his earlier pieces. I love it!

    That's the thing about Picasso that separates him from his imitators: he could draw. So when he says that this image of a thousand little squares is a portrait of so-and-so, I'm more inclined to believe him.
