Well Said: Solemnity and Bacon

From my quote journal, originally from Jennifer Fitz who gives a recipe to go with it.
Nothing says “solemnity” like bacon on a Friday.

Of course, you've got to be of the "no meat on Fridays crowd for this to really hit home ... or to even be comprehendible.

  1. Hehe. True story: When Jon & I got married, we were neither Catholic nor bacon eaters. Now we're both. And our Easter Fridays are so much more festive.

Honestly, I consider Christianity basically a religion of Bacon. If I wanted to keep kosher, I wouldn't be in such a hurry to recognize the messiah.

Eternal life is good too. If you could only have one, Eternal Life trumps bacon. But if you can have bacon also . . . it's a win-win.

Jen <-- frequently confuses faith & meals.
