But at the same time God assigned us an odd location: "on the edge." He gave freedom of choice--including the choice of the angle from which to see and assess things. He gives us the gifts of faith and hope--not as objects "to keep" but as a light in a space that is otherwise darkened, thus offering us the possibility to view reality not only from our one single "worldly" perspective, but also from His angle, so to speak.
