Not your mother's guardian angel, right?
Lawrence Klimecki's work continues to inspire me and to show that modern sacred art can be very good indeed. I have a soft spot for his angelic representations but you can see the range of his artistic talent at Gryphon Rampant.

You are right. Not my mother's guardian angel, that is for sure. Not at all like some of my older holy cards.
This angel appears quite a bit more determined and better armed. Perhaps a guardian angel for our times?
I do want to say that looking at this artist styles reminds me very strongly of some the cover art for Michael Moorcooks Elric series from the '70's.
