Fairly or unfairly, many people are tried in life. The mistake people make is they think that the trial is a sign of failure. It's not. It's only a doorway that leads you to who you really are.

How true. What's hard to remember is that the people God brings into our lives to PROVIDE the trial are actually working for our ultimate good. And that they are as beloved by God as we are.
Especially when you're in the middle of the desert and snakes, it's easy to forget. Lord, have mercy.
