CFCA ... I have long known about this admirable group. Their co-founder and president, 75-year-old Bob Hentzen, recently completed a nearly 8,000-mile walk through 12 Latin American countries to shed light on families living in poverty and the benefits of child sponsorship. Read more about CFCA here ... and this initiative.
The Constant Convert ... a new bimonthly column at Patheos from Betty Duffy, whose blog I have long enjoyed reading. The first column is up today. Check it out!
2 brave one(s) among us:
CFCA is a great group. In addition to children they also have elderly people who need assistance too. I've sponsored an elderly person through them for 10 years now. http://www.cfcausa.org/WhySponsor/Aging.aspx
We sponsored a boy through CFCA for many years. I was actually intrigued by the thought of sponsoring an elderly person when I got their email and was going to look into it ... so your email is perfectly timed! :-)
