I was very impressed spiritually during and after the Divine Sunday Mass at a local shrine of St Joseph. So much so that I have begun reading St Faustina's Diary. "Divine Mercy in my Soul". Her suffering has made me question how seriously I really want to be "holy" and how serious I am about my desire to suffer for God.
I would very much recommend St Faustina's diary as a means of examining our own need for God's mercy and how suffering truly will make us more holy if we unite it to Jesus Passion.
three comments today! I'm not trying to overload your inbox. But, I just re-read this quote and your meditation on it in the book. I told myself i'd take it as my motto for the day. easier said than done, of course.
Yes. The key is one day at a time and, then, of course, I always apologize up front to God for being fearful about His plans. It helps to acknowledge it. :-D
This is a really great quotation and so true, when it comes to me ;) Maybe I'm not afraid how painful it will be, only wondering how exhausting it will be ;) Because we all know, that God won't send us too much and I try to agree with Him in every moment in my life.
