This just shows what a slippery slope we are on in treating unborn children as a "choice" for any reason.
“The company’s [Senomyx] key flavor programs focus on the discovery and development of savory, sweet and salt flavor ingredients that are intended to allow for the reduction of MSG, sugar and salt in food and beverage products,” the Senomyx web site says. “Using isolated human taste receptors, we created proprietary taste receptor-based assay systems that provide a biochemical or electronic readout when a flavor ingredient interacts with the receptor.”Read the entire story here. “What they don’t tell the public is that they are using HEK 293 – human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce those receptors,” she said. “They could have easily chosen animal, insect, or other morally obtained human cells expressing the G protein for taste receptors.”

Within hours of its press statement to LifeNews.com, the pro-life group received notice from Campbell Soup that the company has severed its ties with Senomyx. Juli Mandel Sloves, Senior Manager of Nutrition & Wellness Communications at Campbell Soup Company, told Vinnedge, “We are no longer in partnership with Senomyx. This fact was discussed during the Senomyx conference call with its investors earlier this month.”
You should see what PepsiCo responded. Talk about clueless.
This gives a whole new meaning to fasting for life. I am actually not sure if I even buy Kraft, Nestle, Solae, or Pepsi products, since companies often have tentacles in places that aren't obvious these days.
If I boycotted tuna for years to save dolphins (and I did, just ask my family) then how much more will I do so to stop this hideous practice?
The other thing we can do is to contact the companies themselves with our protests. I myself am also going to be sending the Campbell CEO a thank you note. Positive reinforcement is a good thing too.

Solae also stopped using this company for their testing. Good for them!

This is beyond demonic.
Ugh. That's truly sick. Unfortunately, Nestle owns a rather remarkable number of other brands; it seems like it would be almost impossible to avoid.
Yes, but it is worth the work. Thanks for reminding me of Wikipedia as a source for that info. I need to print it out. :-)
This is just beyond belief....you think you can't be shocked anymore...m
List of Nestle brands
List of Kraft brands
List of PepsiCo brands
Thank you Karen... I will post those tomorrow.
It looks as if Solae develops soy-based ingredients that other companies use. Not the end-products themselves.
OMG! How disgusting! Can humanity sink any lower? I will look for those brands tomorrow. They will be scratched off my list of purchases.
Thank you for this article. I am joining the boycott
thank you for reporting this
I am saddened by this news, although I must admit, it does not completely surprise me. Some of my favorite junk foods are in here, as well as what I thought foods that were wholesome. This is going to start a rewrite of my diet. Ugh...
