I don't know why I thought of a sunflower cake for Mom except, perhaps, that I was thinking for some reason of growing up in Kansas. Sunflowers abound and are one of my favorite flowers. So perhaps that all came together. At any rate, it is a lovely cake and if I lived close enough (and The Chantilly Cake Company were in Florida instead of the UK) I would get her that cake.
Although, if Mom preferred roses or daisies, they have lovely cakes featuring those also.
