Blogging Around: Lent

As one might expect, St. Blog's parish is exploding with great Lenten reflections and resources (now that I glance around here, I seem to have fallen prey to that same impulse also). Here are some that you may not find in your usual haunts.
  • Get Religion has links to all sorts of Lenten reporting (some very wrong and some very good).

  • Maria Lectrix has a great recording of the first part of a sermon by Pope St. Leo the Great. Very inspirational on the point of viewing oneself as a warrior in a great spiritual endeavor. I felt ready to take on anything after listening.

  • People of the Book has a wonderful poem, "To Keep a True Lent."

  • Into the Deep has a series going on Spiritual Combat that is excellent Lenten listening.

  • DarwinCatholic begins a series of meditations on Dante's Divine Comedy. How handy as I am listening to that very book via Librivox.

  • Mike Aquilina offers us a feast of sales on great reading from Loyola. I second his recommendation of David Scott's books, especially the Mother Teresa book. Check it out.

  • The Anchoress has a good reflection, "Remember you are dust..." as well as links to other good reading

  • The Catholic Carnival has even more Lenten blogging.
